History

Double O Design was born in 2001 when Peter and Melissa O'Faherty returned to Ireland after seven years working in the US design and publishing industries. From a small office in Dublin, the pair quickly secured a varied client base around which a strong team of designers and project managers has been built.

In 2004, Double O opened it's US office in Boston and now offers their services on both side of the Atlantic.

The original office is now a distant memory but the founding principles of creative excellence, exceptional client service, and attention to detail remain the cornerstones of what we do.

Our experienced, multi- skilled team in Boston and Dublin works closely with a varied client base to ensure that their message is clear, compelling and consistent — wherever it may appear.

Peter O'Faherty – Dublin

Peter has 20 years experience in the areas of brand design, design production and publishing in Ireland and the US. As co-founder and Managing Director at Double O Design, Peter has led the company through a significant growth phase, managing the acquisition and retention of several key clients. He works closely with clients and with the design team, and maintains a watching brief over all Double O Design projects from concept to delivery.

Kasia Kęsicka – Dublin

A graduate of the Academy of Fine and Applied Arts in her native Poland, Kasia has been gaining invaluable experience as a designer in Poland, the US and Ireland since 2005. With her MA in Visual Communications and Photography, Kasia has the knowledge and skills required to both meet and surpass any design brief in a smart and creative way. With Double O since 2007, some of Kasia's work even appears on the national cultural curriculum in Poland.

Tom Barton – Boston

Tom started designing in 1995, creating T-shirts for parades and events. After graduating from the Art Institute of Boston with a double major in Illustration and Design, he landed in publishing. Tom has designed, illustrated, and produced all manner of print: newspapers, readers, textbooks ...all while still creating T-shirts.

Tim Myers – Dublin

With a degree in Software Development and many years of experience under his belt, Tim is our man with the technical skills to turn all your internet needs into reality. Tim brings with him his vast accumulated knowledge of programming languages, content management systems and design, gained working with many clients both at home and abroad. Tim is just as enthusiastic about delivering creative solutions as he is about his other passion, playing golf back home in Co. Kerry.

Denise Reid – Dublin

Denise joined Double O Design in 2002, bringing 14 years of experience in management consultancy and finance. Her current responsibilities include financial planning and reporting as well as on-going strategic development. She began her career with KPMG, working in their Belfast, Dublin, and New York offices. Denise is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and graduated from Queen's University, Belfast, with a degree in Accounting.
